I love contests! They give you some inspiration what to do...and a good deal of motivation, too. E.g. I always wanted to do something with the four elements, fire, water, earth and air. So, when I stumbled across *Mommynme-stock's gallery and realised she holds an element contest, I decided to participate right away. This was some time in July or so but now I finally have some spare time (though I'm still having another two exams to study for) so I did the whole series consisting of one picture for every element and one with all four of them.
I searched for a suiting background photo for ages. I wanted it to include all the elements so I needed a picture of a sunset/dawn at the sea, with a slightly cloudy sky and some of the beach to be seen, in a decent size...difficult, I can tell you!

That's a nice, practical approach to the four elements. Treat them as playing cards. I like it!
